Game Tables

The Tabletop Gaming room provides access to both hosted and free-play game tables!

Hosted Tables

These are pre-booked tables good for one or more sessions run by designated hosts during the CORE GAMING HOURS. Details for each session will be posted in the room. Just make your choices and sign up! The majority of Hosted Table sessions will be scheduled game-play, but some may be game demos, focused roundtable discussions on game topics, or other good stuff, depending on the interests and intentions of the host.

Want to host a game?
Email Jayson Stevens, the  VCON Tabletop Games Coordinator at tabletopgaming [at] vcon [dot] ca to pre-book one.

Want to host but can’t commit yet?
Tables can be booked during the convention on a first come, first serve basis if available.

Free-play Tables

These tables are open to spur-of-the-moment hosts and gamer groups during the convention gaming hours, night and day. Whether it is a board game, a role-playing game, or simply your favourite game, be the gaming host you’ve always wanted to be!

Game Library

Our Game library is open to all VCON members during CORE GAMING HOURS. Games can be borrowed at no cost for use at any free-play table and for as long as you like.

The West Coast Science Fiction Association (WCSFA), VCON’s parent non-profit association, has been collecting games for it’s Game Library for well over a decade. We have a huge collection of familiar classics and newer games to chose from.

Console Gaming

The Console Gaming room will offer a variety of console systems to try your hand at both classic and contemporary electronic games.

There will be casual “drop-in” gaming all weekend long (subject to availability of console seating) as well as specific tournament events which will be posted in the room for you to sign up. It is intended that tournaments will offer prizes to winners if possible (to be confirmed).
