Ashley Mackenzie

Ashley Mackenzie is an artist and illustrator based in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born in Victoria, BC and grew up between Vancouver, BC and Edmonton, AB. After studying online for a year through AAU in San Francisco, CA she moved to Toronto to pursue a degree in Illustration at OCADU. She has an interest in creating thoughtful conceptual images and finding new ways to navigate ideas visually. Some of her past clients include the New York Times, Scientific American, Buzzfeed and Tor. When not drawing she can be found reading, playing video games or thinking about her next project.

Amal El-Mohtar is an award-winning writer and editor based in Ontario and Glasgow. She has published short fiction, poetry, essays, reviews, and criticism; edits the fantastic poetry quarterly magazine Goblin Fruit; and reviews science fiction and fantasy books for the New York Times Book Review. She has worked as a creative writing instructor at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.
